New Badge, New Era: Craigavon Scouts Reveal Winning Design

Craigavon Scouts are delighted to announce our brand new group badge, designed by one of our very own youth members.

In June 2026, we launched a special competition inviting all of our youth members to submit their ideas for a new Craigavon Scouts group badge. We were presented with a fantastic range of creative and thoughtful designs from across the sections. A huge well done and thank you to every young person who took the time to take part and share their ideas.

All of the entries were sent to the head office of Scout Foundation Northern Ireland, who had the difficult job of choosing just one winning design. After careful consideration, they selected a brilliant design by Elliott Fraser, aged 10, from Cubs.
Elliott’s badge will now proudly represent Craigavon Scouts and will be worn by our young people and leaders for years to come.

We are incredibly proud of all our young people who entered. Their imagination, effort, and enthusiasm show exactly what Scouting is all about. We look forward to seeing this new badge appear on uniforms across the group and become a symbol of our shared identity and spirit.

We would also like to recognise some of the fantastic runners‑up whose designs made the final shortlist. Their creativity, attention to detail, and clear pride in Craigavon Scouts shone through in every idea. Although only one badge could be chosen, these entries played a huge part in inspiring the final design, and we are grateful to every young person who took part and helped shape the future look of our group.
