We are incredibly proud to announce that Craigavon Scouts has officially come together with 5th and 6th Dromore Scouts. From this point forward, we move ahead as one united group: 5th / 6th / 7th Dromore Scouts Craigavon.
This isn’t just a change of name, it’s the beginning of a shared journey built on friendship, community spirit, and a commitment to giving young people the very best Scouting experience possible.
Stronger Together
Bringing our groups together creates something truly special. Each group comes with its own history, leaders, traditions, and strengths and by combining these, we are building a stronger, more vibrant Scout Group for everyone involved.
For our young people, this means more opportunities to learn new skills, take on bigger adventures, and form lasting friendships. For our volunteers and leaders, it means support, collaboration, and the chance to deliver an even richer programme.
Most importantly, it ensures that Scouting continues to thrive locally, giving more young people the chance to grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.
A New Home at Kiln Lane
Alongside this exciting new chapter, we are delighted to introduce our new Den and Grounds at 15 Kiln Lane, Lurgan.
This new home gives us the space and facilities to truly grow as a group. With improved indoor areas for meetings and activities, as well as outdoor grounds for games, training, and camping, The new Den offers everything we need to deliver the adventurous, hands-on experiences that Scouting is all about.
It’s more than just a building, it’s a place where campfire stories will be shared, skills will be learned, and lifelong memories will be made.
Looking Ahead
As we settle into life as 5th / 6th / 7th Dromore Scouts Craigavon, there’s a real sense of excitement about what lies ahead. From camps and outdoor adventures to community events and new programme ideas that were not previously possible, the possibilities are endless!
