We (Craigavon Scouts) are proud to celebrate an incredible achievement led by the determination, commitment, and hard work of our young people and our leaders. Together, they have successfully raised an outstanding £19,000 to make our first-ever international trip to Jamboree Denmark 2026 a reality.
This milestone has not come easily. Over many months, our Scouts have shown real resilience and initiative, stepping up to take part in fundraising events, organise activities, and support one another every step of the way. From early mornings to long days, they have demonstrated what can be achieved when young people are given the opportunity to lead, challenge themselves, and work together towards a shared goal.
Every pound raised tells a story of effort and perseverance. Whether it was through community events, sponsored activities, or lending a hand wherever needed, our Scouts have truly earned this opportunity. Their enthusiasm and teamwork have been inspiring not only to our leaders but also to the wider community who have supported them along the way.
This trip marks a major milestone for Craigavon Scouts as our first-ever international experience as a group. Seeing the excitement and sense of achievement among our young people has already shown just how valuable opportunities like this can be. We hope this will be the first of many, with international adventures becoming a regular part of what we can offer, giving future Scouts the same chance to grow, explore, and create lifelong memories.
The reward for all of this hard work is an unforgettable experience at one of the largest Scout gatherings in the world. Jamboree Denmark 2026 will bring together thousands of Scouts from across the globe, offering the chance to build international friendships, learn new skills, and experience different cultures. For many of our young people, this will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and a chance to represent Craigavon Scouts on an international stage.
With just 20 days to go until departure, excitement is building quickly. Preparations are in full swing as our Scouts get ready for the journey ahead, reflecting on how far they’ve come and looking forward to everything still to come.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the organisations and supporters who have backed our young people on this journey:
