Grab your family and friends, and come help us kick off something exciting! The grand opening of our brand new merged group, 5th / 6th / 7th Dromore Craigavon Scouts, on 7th September 2026 at 7pm at our den, 15 Kiln Lane, Lurgan, Craigavon, BT66 6NF.
This isn’t just a new sign on the door. Two groups with a lot of history, 5th / 6th Dromore Lurgan Scouts and 7th Dromore Craigavon Scouts, have joined forces, and we are very excited about what that means for Scouting in our community. More leaders, more experience, and more fun activities for our young people to get stuck into, from weekly meetings to camping trips and campfires.
Everyone’s Welcome
This celebration is for our Scouters, families, our county leaders, and now we’re saying it loud and clear: bring your friends and extended family too! The more the merrier as we open this new chapter together.
On the night you can:
- Meet the team behind the new group
- Get a sneak peek at what we’ve got planned
- Find out what Scouting opportunities are out there for young people
- Hear a bit about where both groups came from
Whatever your connection to Scouting, this is a chance to join in and be part of something new, supporting young people, developing skills for life, and making a real difference locally. It’s the same “Skills for Life” spirit that’s always driven local scouts, now with a bigger team and a den to match.
So mark the date, tell your neighbours, drag along your cousins, we’d love to see a packed house.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page, 5/6/7th Dromore Craigavon Scouts.
