At this stage, it’s not just about taking part, it’s about getting involved, taking responsibility and starting to shape your own adventures. From camps and expeditions to outdoor challenges and practical skills, every week pushes you a little further.
Venture scouts build strong friendships, earn awards and develop the confidence to lead, plan and take on new challenges. They work in patrols, but also begin to take more ownership and preparing for independence and freedom.

As you move towards Venture Scouts, the adventure becomes even more your own. Ventures plan their own activities, lead their own expeditions and take full ownership of their programme, with support from leaders rather than direction.
That means bigger adventures, more independence and the chance to shape your own Scouting journey.
